Rock n Roll…
Music is one of the things that I cannot live without. If you’re a runner and looking for the best playlists for running then I can give you some ideas.
But first about me – I am a huge Rock Music fan, be it English rock or Bollywood rock. Depending on my mood I listen to these songs while running and working out.
When I need a bit of energy and motivation I listen to motivational songs.
On my 5K and 10K runs I usually listen to my Rock Music Playlist to achieve my Runner’s High. Have you ever heard of a term called Runner’s High?
Runner’s high refers to the feeling of pure elation, reduced stress, and a decreased ability to feel pain due to a flood of endorphins released by exercise.
When I feel a bit down and I need to pick myself up I usually listen to motivational songs, mostly Bollywood tracks on the Gaana App.
Best Apps for Streaming Music while Running
I use two Apps while stream music while running. Because I am an iPhone user, its much easier for me to stream music using these music streaming Apps:
Spotify is an excellent music app and I’ve been using this since last six months now. They have an excellent collection of songs from famous artists all over the world. My main reason for using Spotify is to stream Rock Music from my favorite bands like Guns N Roses, Queen, AC/DC, Bee Gees, Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, Metallica and the list goes on an on…
I am still using Spotify’s free version and haven’t yet upgraded to the premium version. This is because I don’t feel the need to switch to premium version. The premium version has its own benefits like ad free music and you can also download and listen to music offline.
However I don’t mind ads because they not that frequent. They play ads after every 30 minutes of playback so it does not bother much.
Plus I don’t feel the need to download and listen offline because Spotify doesn’t consume much of your data even if you listen everyday for thirty minutes a day. Therefore the free version of Spotify works perfectly fine with me.
Gaana is an Indian music streaming App and if you’re a Bollywood fan then it makes sense for you to download this App.
They have a good collection of the Bollywood and Punjabi music but they don’t have any English tracks. That’s one reason why I use and prefer Spotify over Gaana.
However the variety of Bollywood tracks in Gaana are much more than Spotify therefore if you’re a Bollywood music lover than you should definitely give it a try.
